Professional Experience

ZAF Khan went to school in Wakefield before going on to study Dentistry at the University of Manchester. He qualified in 1995 and after one year as a Vocational Dental Practitioner he got the position of a Senior House Officer in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at Doncaster Royal Infirmary.

Whilst at Donaster Royal Infirmary Zaf gained considerable experience in oral surgery including treatment, major trauma and Oral cancer patients. He treated patients on inpatient lists as well as outpatients using sedation techniques. This also gave him the opportinity to attend many post-graduate courses. He also took and passed the first part of his fellowship examination.

In August 1998 Zaf was appointed as Senior House Officer in Restorative Dentistry at Leeds Dental Institute. Here he worked in various departments under well known consultants treating difficult patients that were referred in by other dentists. He also passed his final part of the Fellowship of Dental Surgeons from the Royal College of Surgeons of England. He gained invaluable experience from this post that set him up for General Dental Practice. Since September 1999 Zaf has been working as a associate at a Practice near the University of Leeds.
