Professional Experience

Ashok qualified from the University of Newcastle Upon tyne in 1974. The Royal College of Surgeons awarded him the D.G.D.P. by election in November, 1992 and the M.G.D.S. by examination in April 1993.

Ashok Sethi has used osseointegrated implants in conjunction with advanced techniques- such as subtrantral augmentation, nerve repositioning and ridge expansion- since 1983, having first introduced implants into his restorative practice in 1979. Recognised as a leading authority in this field, he has been Scientific Chairman of several International Implant Symposiums for theAssociation of Implantology and the International Congress of Oral Implantologists.

He is a founder member and past chairman of the Association Of Dental Implantology and founded the ADI's Study Club in 1985. He is a fellow and Diplomat of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists. He has lectured at meetings in Europe, the United States and Asia.

He was invited to speak at the 1992 and 1993 World Congress on Oral Implantology in Sydney and Istanbul and at the Royal College of Surgeons.

A strong proponent of post-graduate education in implant dentistry, he is involved in clinical research and education programs in the UK and has published a number of articles on implant dentistry and related topics.

He is also a visiting Lecturer at the University of Lille.

He runs the Centre for Implant and Reconstructive Dentistry at 33 Harley Street, London.
